In 1878 in Seattle, the
"Gallery" was
launched. At least
three photographers
traveled in this boat
through Northwest
waters. Photos of this
boast in the classic
book "Maritime
Memories of Puget
Sound," inspired
Peter to have his own
"Gallery". In
November 2002, he
obtained the hulls for
a 43 foot catamaran and spent 22 months designing his boat.
Contstruction began in August 2004. The "Gallery" was launched in June
2006: the first new vessel built at the historic Albert Jensen & Sons
Shipyard in Friday Harbor, Washingon in over 20 years.
